Australia Allocates 624,590 Fully Funded University Places for 2027

On 29 October 2026, Australia's Education Minister announced 624,590 Commonwealth Supported Places for 2027, including 23,000 additional university places. The managed-growth reforms are expected to provide an additional A$3.6 billion in university funding and support approximately 230,000 additional commencing students over the next decade. The expansion creates opportunities for universities, education consultants and digital-learning providers; HPC can support institutions with research analytics, AI-enabled learning platforms and high-performance computing infrastructure.
